We remember the people whose lives were taken, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who responded. UNAMOS does not use that tragedy as a symbol of its own. We honor it as the moment that demanded an answer from us.

In Venezuela, that answer became El Canto por la Vida—a song that invited a country to reject division, unite around life and transform compassion into service.

THE BEGINNING - 2001
A wound became a song.
In the aftermath of September 11, a simple conviction took hold: the answer to division had to be a louder act of unity. That conviction became El Canto por la Vida — music created to call people together around life.
UNAMOS AL MUNDO POR LA VIDA - 2001
Then a song united a country for life.
The call moved beyond a recording and into the streets. Artists, first responders, institutions, families and an immense public gathering turned the message into a shared action: Venezuela standing together for life.
TELECORAZÓN POR LA VIDA - 2002
Twenty-seven hours. Every network. One voice.
Television networks, radio, artists, volunteers and production teams set competition aside for the first Telecorazón por la Vida. For 27 continuous hours, the country saw what could happen when media became a bridge for help.
LA COLMENA DE LA VIDA - 2003
The promise became a home.
A year later, six construction companies united around one goal: build La Colmena de la Vida in record time. It became a home for children at risk, a base for programs, and a place from which other organizations could be supported.
THOUSANDS OF LIVES - 12 YEARS
A building alive with possibility.
For twelve years, thousands of children, families, volunteers and partner organizations passed through La Colmena’s programs. Learning, health, recreation, culture and care lived side by side — proof that coordinated solidarity can become lasting infrastructure.
WHEN A PLACE CLOSED
